Stay safe online by securing your accounts with a strong password. Use a different passwords for all of your accounts, so in case one of you passwords get's leaked, your entire online presence doesn't get compromised.
Remember: You are not always the only one in control of your password's safety. When you signup for a webiste, your password will be hashed using a hashing algorithm, some algorithms are more secure than others. Attackers can get their hands on the hashed password from database breaches, many of them being publicly avalable.
If your password is not complex enough and the service that was breached wasn't using a secure algorithm, they can crack your password in minutes to days, using relatively inexpensive hardware.
